The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed concerning the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the sassa status Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support level developed for intervention experiences a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
